Meeting of MMC EC Meeting : MOH Union Minister delivers the opening address

The Executive Committee Meeting of the Myanmar Medical Council was held on Saturday morning. Patrons of Myanmar Medical Council, Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win delivered an opening address, highlighting the activities undertaken by the Myanmar Medical Council for the development of the health sector, the initiatives of the Ministry of Health, and the support being provided by the State. Next, Chairman of the Myanmar Medical Council Dr. Myo Khin delivered a welcoming address and provided an overview of the activities carried out during the Council’s third four-year term, including the issuance and renewal of medical practice licences, the status of such processes, matters concerning suspension, and tasks to be undertaken going forward. Afterwards, the Directors-General of the Ministry of Health reported on personnel matters, while the Secretary of the Myanmar Medical Council reported on the activities of the Council. Members of Myanmar Medical Council then approved the decisions of the Myanmar Medical Council Executive Committee Meeting (1/2026). They also discussed and approved, according to their respective areas, the activities carried out by the Myanmar Medical Council over the past four months. Afterward, the Union Minister delivered concluding remarks.
