Vietnam Deepens Cultural Exchange with Global Community: Multifaceted Promotion of Heritage, Sports, and Economic Cooperation

Vietnam is further deepening its ties with the international community through active participation in cultural events and international conferences held worldwide, spanning diverse fields such as sports, cultural heritage, and economic cooperation. In sports, Vietnam is planning to send a large delegation to the Asian Games (ASIAD), aiming to win at least four gold medals. This initiative aims to promote sports domestically and enhance the nation's prestige on the international stage. Vietnam is also playing a leading role in the preservation of cultural heritage. The adoption of the resolution on the International Decade of Culture for Sustainable Development (2027–2036) by the UN General Assembly is evidence of Vietnam's increasingly proactive stance in multilateral forums. The Director-General of UNESCO has highly praised Vietnam's initiative, and international scientific forums on the authenticity and universal value of world heritage are also being planned. Regarding relations with Japan, strengthening cooperation in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation has been proposed, including joint research and the development of Vietnam's innovation ecosystem. Furthermore, exchanges at the regional level are intensifying, with events showcasing Vietnamese culture and economy being held in Fukuoka City. This aims to promote foreign investment and tourism as part of Vietnam's economic growth strategy. Moreover, Vietnam is engaging in activities to foster cultural exchange and people-to-people ties with various countries, including Belgium, Argentina, Cuba, and Slovakia. These include sports tournaments, cultural festivals, and photography contests, serving as opportunities to introduce Vietnam's diverse culture and national character to the global community. Domestically, initiatives are underway to promote traditional culture and link regional heritage with tourism in Hanoi and the Mekong Delta region. This translates the Politburo's resolution on cultural development into practice, aiming to expand cultural spaces and foster creativity in localities. These activities demonstrate Vietnam's commitment to valuing its unique cultural heritage and developing in harmony with the international community, alongside its economic growth.
