Thai Businesses Honored with Prime Minister's Export Awards Amid Push for Higher Value Exports

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presented the Prime Minister's Export Awards 2026 to 44 Thai businesses on August 7 at Government House, recognizing their achievements in international markets. Prime Minister Anutin emphasized the need for Thailand to transition from merely exporting goods to creating higher-value products and fostering innovation, while deepening its integration into global supply chains. The awards covered seven categories: exporters, Thai brands, green and sustainable businesses, design, services, OTOP (One Tambon One Product) products, and halal products. The government is pursuing free trade agreements (FTAs), exploring new export markets, implementing regulatory reforms, and improving infrastructure to support trade and investment. According to Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhanadirek, the administration also plans to support future industries and promote wider adoption of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in production and product development. Continued assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will aim to help more Thai businesses enter international markets and reduce reliance on individual export destinations. The 44 awards included nine for Best Exporter, nine for Best Thai Brand, seven for Best Green & Sustainable Exporter, eight for Best Design, six for Best Services Enterprise, three for Best OTOP, and two for Best Halal. Prime Minister Anutin also encouraged domestic consumers to support Thai products while urging businesses to continue expanding their overseas presence.
