Heavy rain possible in some regions due to low pressure

Due to atmospheric instability in the Andaman Sea and the development of clouds and cumulonimbus clouds originating from a low-pressure system in eastern Thailand, localized heavy rainfall and widespread thunderstorms are possible in some regions between September 25 and 29, according to the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology, which issued a notification on the morning of September 25. Therefore, between September 25 and 29, localized heavy rainfall is possible in Yangon Region, Bago Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Tanintharyi Region, Kayin State, and Mon State. Similarly, scattered thunderstorms are possible in the upper Sagaing Region, Kachin State, and Shan State (North), and widespread thunderstorms are possible in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon Region, Mandalay Region, Bago Region, Magway Region, lower Sagaing Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Tanintharyi Region, Kayah State, Kayin State, Chin State, Mon State, Rakhine State, and Shan State (South and East). As natural disasters such as strong winds, flash floods, and landslides may occur along with heavy rainfall, residents living near high ground are advised to be aware of the risk of landslides, and residents living near small rivers and streams are advised to be aware of the risk of floods and inundation. Furthermore, domestic flights, and nearshore and offshore fishing vessels and ships along the Myanmar coast and in offshore waters are also advised to take precautions in advance.
