Cambodia and Uruguay Agree to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Cambodian Acting Head of State Samdech Techo Hun Sen received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Uruguay to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Diego Pelufo Acosta y Lara, and discussed further development of bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 9th, at the Senate Hall. After the meeting, Senate Spokesperson Mr. Chea Thireth informed that during the meeting, Ambassador Diego Pelufo Acosta y Lara pledged to work hard to strengthen the bilateral relations between Cambodia and Uruguay. The Ambassador also expressed his pride in serving as the Ambassador of Uruguay to Cambodia. On this occasion, Samdech Techo expressed satisfaction with the Ambassador's remarks and agreed on strengthening the bilateral relations between Cambodia and Uruguay. Samdech Techo stated that although the two countries are geographically distant, they have many potentials to expand their relations, especially focusing on trade, economy, and investment, which are the core of Cambodia-Uruguay relations.
