Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet led a delegation to Parliament to present the city's case for government subsidy funding for fiscal year 2027. The request aims to secure support for crucial development projects including infrastructure, flood prevention, transportation, and tourism.
Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, also known as “Mayor Beer,” along with city executives and department heads, visited Parliament on July 27 to present Pattaya’s request for government subsidy funding for the fiscal year 2027. This initiative aims to secure support for the city's ongoing development. The delegation attended a budget clarification meeting at the Parliament building, where they explained the city’s proposed projects and funding requirements. Mayor Poramet stated that the budget request was not merely about presenting figures, but about articulating Pattaya’s vision, priorities, and the significance of receiving appropriate government support to deliver projects that directly benefit residents and visitors. The proposed funding is intended to support development projects across several key areas, including infrastructure improvements, flood prevention, transportation, tourism development, public safety, environmental management, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. "Every budget allocation is an opportunity to move Pattaya forward—creating a better city for residents and a quality world-class tourism destination," the mayor emphasized. Pattaya City affirmed its commitment to ensuring that every baht received is used effectively to deliver tangible improvements, such as better roads, more efficient public utilities, improved environmental conditions, and enhanced community services. The city added that development efforts will continue without interruption, with the goal of creating a more livable Pattaya while strengthening its position as an international tourism destination.
