These twisters then moved across communes including Khanh Binh, Tran Van Thoi, Tri Phai, and Luong The Tran, as well as surrounding areas. Within minutes, many corrugated iron and tiled roofs were torn off, trees were uprooted, and household items were scattered by the wind. After the tornadoes passed, the rain continued for several hours. "I was inside the house when I heard the wind whistling. Just a few seconds later, the roof was blown away, and many belongings were thrown everywhere," said Mr. Dinh Van Huong from Kien Chua Hamlet, Tran Van Thoi Commune. According to the Ca Mau Provincial Office for Disaster Prevention, Khanh Binh Commune suffered the most severe damage, with 25 houses and one branch of Ly Tu Trong Primary School affected. Five houses collapsed completely, and 20 were damaged with roofs blown off. The four injured individuals have been taken for treatment. In Tri Phai Commune, 14 houses in Kinh 5 Hamlet had their roofs blown off. Luong The Tran Commune saw 20 houses impacted, including one collapse and 19 damaged. Tran Van Thoi Commune recorded 12 houses with damage, one of which collapsed entirely. Following the disaster, local authorities mobilized police, military, and mass organizations to assist residents in clearing debris and repairing homes, while also compiling damage reports for support proposals. Since the beginning of the year, natural disasters in Ca Mau have resulted in 2 deaths and 4 injuries. The province has also experienced 82 landslides, 43 tornadoes, and numerous heavy rainfall events, including unseasonal downpours. The total estimated damage from these events exceeds VND 25.4 billion (approximately USD 1 million).
