Lam Dong Province Inaugurates One of Vietnam's Largest Central Squares, Fostering Cultural and Economic Growth

Lam Dong Province, located in Vietnam's Central Highlands, officially inaugurated the Gia Nghia Central Square and its integrated complex, comprising a museum, library, and park, on the evening of July 25th. This expansive project is recognized as one of Vietnam's largest central squares and is notable for its rare design featuring a lakeside landscape. The square and complex, spanning over 24 hectares and built with a total investment of nearly 525 billion VND from the state budget, are intended to be more than just an addition to urban infrastructure. General Phan Van Giang, a Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of National Defense, along with Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, highlighted at the ceremony that the facility will not only meet the cultural needs of the local population but also contribute to shaping a modern and civilized urban landscape, providing a new impetus for the socio-economic development of the region. A distinctive feature of the square is its lakeside setting, a relatively uncommon design in Vietnam. The integration with commercial facilities is also expected to enhance the urban aesthetic. A grand artistic program was presented during the inauguration, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Tay Nguyen region and the province's aspiration for development. The inauguration of this central square holds significant political importance for Lam Dong Province as it continues to pursue rapid and sustainable development. The province aims to further strengthen its development foundation by effectively leveraging its two-tier local government model.
