Mid-Autumn Festival Gifts for Children in Vietnam's Border Areas

From September 18 to 20, units under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with local Party committees, authorities, agencies, and benefactors, organized various activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and distribute gifts to children facing difficult circumstances. This brought a joyful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival to children in the border areas. As part of the initiative, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard honored 296 outstanding students for their academic achievements. The program also included activities to express gratitude to families with revolutionary merits and visits to present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (Mẹ Việt Nam Anh hùng). These efforts aim to bring hope to children in border regions and strengthen community solidarity. Vietnam, under the one-party system led by the Communist Party, continues to experience economic growth. However, challenges such as poverty and educational disparities persist in rural and border areas. Such support activities demonstrate the government and military's commitment to social welfare and serve as a symbol of national cohesion. Furthermore, for Vietnam, which shares a long border with China, the stability and improved livelihoods of border residents are also crucial from a security perspective.
