Marcoleta was arrested last week but was confined at the PNPGH after complaining of chest pains and was subsequently found to have mild pneumonia. The senator faces a non-bailable plunder case in connection with a P75-million donation he received from former Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Mike Defensor and businessmen Aristotle Viray and Joseph Espiritu just before the campaign period for the 2025 midterm elections.
