Vietnamese delegation departs for 48th Worldskills Competition in China

The Vietnamese team has departed for the 48th WorldSkills Competition in China, marking a significant opportunity for young Vietnamese talents to showcase their skills on an international stage and gain valuable experience. At the previous 47th competition in Lyon, France, the Vietnamese team secured one bronze medal and three certificates of excellence, their fifth medal-winning performance at the WorldSkills Competition. This year, they are aiming for their best-ever results. The delegation's participation is closely aligned with Vietnam's broader national objectives. Digital transformation is a key priority, with a focus on enhancing digital literacy for all citizens, including the elderly, ethnic minorities, and residents in remote mountainous areas, ensuring equitable access to online public services. Enhanced training for frontline public servants is also crucial for this goal. Furthermore, Vietnam is actively engaged in international cooperation. Strengthening ties among Mekong River countries holds the potential to boost regional competitiveness. In science and technology, Vietnam aims to build an innovation ecosystem by leveraging foreign expertise, such as from South Korea, and fostering collaboration among research institutes, universities, and businesses. Culturally, the presence of a bilingual school in Laos highlights the strong ties between the two nations. The Nhan Dan newspaper's booth at an international event in France also symbolizes Vietnam's expanding engagement with the global community.
