Vietnam's Central and Southern Regions Brace for Heavy Rainfall

Continuous heavy rainfall has been observed in Vietnam's central and southern regions over the past few days. According to forecasters from the National Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting Center, heavy rainfall is expected to persist in these regions. The center has highlighted the potential for significant rainfall, especially along the coast of Hue City, in the southern central highlands, and across the southern provinces. Forecasts indicate widespread thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain from tonight into tomorrow, with precipitation potentially exceeding 300mm in some locations. In contrast, the northern regions are expected to experience sunny spells. However, the southern regions are anticipated to see widespread heavy rain starting in the early afternoon. This intense rainfall poses a potential impact on infrastructure and daily life, reflecting the broader challenges of climate change faced by Vietnam.
