Vietnam's Vice President Holds Bilateral Meetings, Engages with Vietnamese Community in Kyrgyzstan

Ho Chi Minh Square and the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Bishkek serve as symbols of friendship between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan, demonstrating affection and respect for President Ho Chi Minh. Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan's visit reaffirms Vietnam's active, proactive, and responsible role as an international community member, upholding international law, the UN Charter, and multilateralism while promoting dialogue and cooperation for peace, stability, and sustainable development. The Vice President affirmed Vietnam's high regard for its traditional friendship with Kyrgyzstan, considering it an important and reliable partner in Central Asia. Since the August Revolution 81 years ago and the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945, the country has made remarkable progress, transforming from a poor, underdeveloped nation into a dynamic economy with an increasingly prominent global presence. Vietnam attaches importance to its relations with the SCO and its member states and is ready to actively participate in cooperation activities within the SCO framework for regional and global peace, stability, and development, in accordance with international law, the UN Charter, and Vietnam's foreign policy of independence and self-reliance, the Vice President stated. The Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania highlighted the three enduring pillars of President Ho Chi Minh's thought: national independence, international solidarity, and human progress. He also affirmed Vietnam's importance of its friendship and cooperation with African countries, with Ethiopia being an important partner. The August Revolution of 1945 is recognized as one of the most glorious milestones in Vietnam's history of national construction and defense. This victory broke the chains of colonial rule, transforming the Vietnamese people from a nation deprived of independence into masters of their own country, ushering in an era of national independence associated with socialism. The agreement between the Vietnamese and Lao governments to facilitate the movement of people, vehicles, and goods across the border provides a crucial framework for promoting investment and trade cooperation between the two countries. Vietnam and Thailand's Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, built on five decades of friendship and cooperation and continuously strengthened political trust, will continue to grow substantively, serving the interests of both peoples and serving as a model of development cooperation within ASEAN, stated Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister. The Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos expressed confidence that Vietnam and Laos will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder to achieve greater attainments in the Doi Moi process and jointly advance toward socialism. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, expressed the Vietnamese people's deep sympathy for the difficulties and losses suffered by the Chinese people, emphasizing the longstanding close friendship between the two countries, who are "comrades and brothers," as well as the traditional cooperation between the VFF and the CPPCC.
