Battambang Red Cross Offers Condolences to Family of Fallen Border Defense Soldier

On August 3, 2026, the Cambodian Red Cross's Battambang Provincial Branch, under the direction of its President, H.E. Sok Lu, dispatched a delegation led by H.E. Peng Sithy, Standing Vice President, along with operational officers. The delegation visited the grieving family of Sergeant Pich Satya, a soldier of the 67th Tank Battalion, 5th Military Region, who sacrificed his life in the cause of defending national territorial integrity along the border (stationed in the Boeung Trach area, Banteay Meanchey Province). The ceremony was held at the deceased's residence in Wat Tamim village, O'Donban 1 commune, Sangke district, Battambang province. During this deeply sorrowful time, the delegation from the Battambang Provincial Red Cross conveyed a letter of condolence from H.E. Sok Lu, expressing immense sadness and regret. The loss of Sergeant Pich Satya was described as a significant loss of human resources for national defense, as well as the loss of a beloved husband and a respected father.
