It is known that the Lin Yone Ni Noeung People's Defense Force attacked the SAC soldiers who were providing security near the dam and irrigation canal in Kon Yuwa Village, Sagaing City, as the military convoy heading to the 33rd Division in Sagaing City departed from the Northwest Regional Military Command in Mon State around 9:30 AM on June 26. It is reported that two SAC soldiers were killed and one was seriously injured in the explosion. After the attack, SAC soldiers used a civilian-owned light truck from Kon Yuwa Village to transport the soldiers who were hit by the mines to Sagaing City. The resistance force stated that the injured soldiers were two followers of Wai Pulla, the leader of the Pyu Saw Htee, who is said to be involved in oppressing and threatening the people in Sagaing Township and collecting protection fees. "Two soldiers were killed and one was seriously injured. The damage to the military convoy is not yet known. We attacked the soldiers who arrived to provide security for the convoy when they entered the minefield. We attacked with only one minefield.
