Thailand Sees Reduced Rainfall Despite Rainy Season; Bangkok Metro Area at 10% Chance

According to the Thai Meteorological Department's forecast for July 20, the probability of rain nationwide is low, with the Bangkok metropolitan area specifically having only a 10% chance of precipitation. This phenomenon is attributed to the weakening of the southwest monsoon that covers the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. However, the public is still advised to be wary of the dangers posed by thunderstorms. Regarding sea conditions, moderate waves are anticipated in the northern Andaman Sea and the northern Gulf of Thailand, with wave heights expected to reach 1-2 meters. In the southern Andaman Sea, wave heights will be around 1 meter, but in areas experiencing thunderstorms, waves may exceed 2 meters. Seafarers are urged to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms to ensure safe passage. In Bangkok and its surrounding provinces, the weather forecast indicates temperatures ranging from a minimum of 26-27 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 35-37 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow from the southwest at speeds of 10-20 kilometers per hour. The chance of rain is 10%, with thunderstorms primarily expected from the afternoon into the evening.
