Seven Cambodian Youth to Represent Nation at Major International Festival in Russia
Seven outstanding Cambodian youths have been selected to represent Cambodia at the "World Youth Festival 2026," the largest international youth event of the year, to be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from September 11-17, 2026. The festival will gather approximately 10,000 youth delegates and 2,000 volunteers from over 190 countries.
Seven outstanding Cambodian youths have been selected to represent Cambodia at the "World Youth Festival 2026," the largest international youth event of the year, to be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from September 11-17, 2026. The festival is expected to gather approximately 10,000 youth delegates and 2,000 volunteers from over 190 countries and regions worldwide. The participation of the Cambodian delegation was coordinated by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Cambodia, the Russian Center for Science and Culture, and the Association of Cambodian Former Students from the Soviet Union and Russia. The selection of delegates was carried out by the World Youth Festival Directorate. The Association of Cambodian Former Students from the Soviet Union and Russia emphasized that the participation of the Cambodian youth delegation in the World Youth Festival 2026 is a "national pride" and a valuable opportunity to showcase the potential, talents, and achievements of Cambodian youth on the international stage. It is also expected to strengthen cooperation, friendship, and experience sharing with youth from over 190 countries. The Cambodian youth delegates will engage in discussions and exchange views on key topics related to youth development, diplomacy, peace, innovation, technology, economy, and sustainable development. The seven selected Cambodian youth delegates are: 1. Mr. Noung Rithy (Head of the Youth Delegation), Secretary-General of the Association of Cambodian Former Students from the Soviet Union and Russia, representing Cambodia in leadership, youth, diplomacy, international relations, and public administration. 2. Mr. Ly Sovannarong, Founder and Director of SROMAL Architects, representing Cambodia in construction, architecture, industry, energy, transportation, and logistics. 3. Mr. Phem Vuttha, Sales Department Manager, representing Cambodia in economy, finance, trade, tax, customs, investment, and entrepreneurship. 4. Mr. Kim Tippvirakrith, Marketing Department Manager of the new business TapApp, representing Cambodia in economy, finance, trade, tax, customs, investment, and entrepreneurship. 5. Mr. Iann Soknang, General Manager and Head of Academic Programs at RobotYOUNG Academy, representing Cambodia in science, education, media, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, digital technology, and information. 6. Mr. Thai Phannny, Engineering Manager at AI FARM ROBOTICS, representing Cambodia in science, education, media, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, digital technology, and information. 7. Mr. Suth Panya, Front-end Developer at Nexdots, representing Cambodia in science, education, media, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, digital technology, and information. The World Youth Festival 2026 has been officially approved by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated December 29, 2025, concerning the organization of the International Youth Festival 2026, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation among youth worldwide.
