Lam Dong Province Builds New Models for Social Order and Security

Phan Thiet Ward in Lam Dong Province, Vietnam, has initiated the construction of new security maintenance models aimed at contributing to social order, security, and socio-economic development. On September 5th, the Phan Thiet Ward Police launched this plan. Specifically, three models will be promoted: "Drug-free Churches," "Drug-free Neighborhood Groups," and "Reintegration Support for Former Prisoners through Influence, Education, and Assistance." These initiatives aim to maintain peace and safety in the community and support sustainable socio-economic development. Under Vietnam's one-party system, maintaining social order is a paramount task for national governance. Such local-level initiatives serve as crucial means to permeate central government policies into the regions and implement them. In particular, addressing drug issues and supporting the rehabilitation of offenders are areas that local authorities and police are actively engaged in, as they are essential elements for social stabilization. Lam Dong Province, located in the highlands, is a region where agriculture and tourism are thriving. Maintaining stable security is indispensable for sustaining economic growth, and the current model construction is considered an effort to revitalize the local economy and improve the quality of life for residents.
