Cambodian Dancers Secure 62 Medals at ASEAN Championship in Malaysia

Cambodian dancers have secured a total of 62 medals, including 13 gold, 25 silver, and 24 bronze, at the ASEAN Dance Championship held in Malaysia from July 23-26, 2026. Ms. Hang Simoun, Secretary-General of the Cambodia Dance Federation, informed the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) on the morning of July 27, 2026, that the competition concluded on the evening of July 26, with Cambodian athletes achieving this impressive medal haul. While these medals were primarily won at the Southeast Asian level, they represent a significant achievement and a source of national pride resulting from the collective efforts of the delegation, coaches, and dancers. The Cambodian dance delegation comprised 22 members, led by Head of Delegation Mr. Ban Socheat. The team included judge You Shu Jie, Head Coach Mr. Sou Ton, Assistant Coach Mr. Suon Kosol, and 18 dancers (8 male and 10 female).
