Aftershocks from the magnitude 7.8 offshore earthquake in Mindanao have surpassed 3,860, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). Of these, 966 were plotted and 64 felt. Aftershocks are expected to continue for several weeks.
