Son La Province Holds Solemn Ceremony for Reclaimed Martyrs' Remains

On September 13, in Son La Province, northern Vietnam, a solemn memorial, funeral, and burial ceremony was held at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Yen Chau commune for the remains of a fallen soldier. The remains were collected in Hua Dan village, Chieng Hac commune, Son La Province. The ceremony was organized by the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Chau commune. Vietnam has been engaged in long-term efforts to collect and identify the remains of soldiers who died in past wars. This national undertaking includes extensive collection operations, such as the "500 Days and Nights" campaign. In recent years, DNA technology has been increasingly utilized for identification, aiming to accurately determine the identity of the collected remains and reunite them with their families. This commitment underscores the nation's profound respect for its fallen heroes and fosters patriotism among its citizens.
