Prabowo Meets FBI Director Over Stolen Indonesian Cultural Artifacts

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel at his residence in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (23/7). Minister of Culture Fadli Zon explained that the meeting discussed several Indonesian cultural artifacts that had been smuggled abroad. According to him, these artifacts originate from several tribes in Papua and hold significant historical value. In addition to handing over the artifacts directly to President Prabowo, the FBI also committed to continuing its cooperation with Indonesia in efforts to repatriate cultural heritage items. This meeting highlights the strengthening cooperation between the two countries in addressing the long-standing issue of cultural artifact smuggling from Indonesia.
