Prestone Launches Specialized Racing Coolant in Indonesia

Global automotive care product brand Prestone has introduced its latest coolant, Prestone Racing, at the Automechanika Jakarta 2026 event held at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition PIK 2, Tangerang Regency, Banten. According to Johnson Wijaya, Brand Strategist at PT Laris Chandra, the distributor of Prestone products in Indonesia, this new product is designed for vehicles such as racing cars, motorcycles, and even jet skis that require a high-boiling point coolant to prevent engine overheating when driven with very high torque. "Prestone Racing is made with water-based, we use glycol-free racing coolant. So this does not contain ethylene glycol," Wijaya explained. The product, offered in a two-liter package, is scheduled to be marketed in Indonesia in mid-October. Prior to this, Prestone Racing will be introduced to the community, racing workshops, and e-commerce platforms to gauge market response. Wijaya also noted that PT Laris Chandra is presenting a supportive product ecosystem for vehicle users at Automechanika Jakarta 2026, ranging from STP for engine performance, Prestone for radiator cooling systems, to car care products from Turtle Wax and Auto Guard. "The market at Automechanika is B2B, not end-users. So if there are B2B clients who come, we offer product support for them," Wijaya added.
