Dangerous Driving on Expressway Causes Chain Collision, Injuring Two
A chain collision occurred on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway near Hanoi after a Lexus driver intentionally stopped their vehicle, causing a bus to rear-end a car. Two people were injured, and three vehicles were damaged. Police are investigating the incident as a criminal offense.
Around 1:30 PM on September 15, on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway at km201, within the An Duyen village, Phu Xuyen commune, a driver of a Lexus vehicle registered in Hanoi was observed weaving erratically in front of another car. Subsequently, the Lexus driver abruptly stopped their vehicle entirely in the lane adjacent to the central divider – the lane designated for the highest speeds – with the apparent intention of obstructing and forcing the other car to stop. Immediately after, a bus registered in Thanh Hoa province, traveling from Hanoi towards Ninh Binh, collided forcefully with the car from behind.
