A merit-sharing ceremony and offering of Soon in honor of the fallen Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday. The congregation, led by Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan Myint Than, received the Five Precepts from the Leading Patron of Mara Vijaya Shwe Monastery in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, and listened to sermons delivered by the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. This was followed by the donation of offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. The congregation then listened to a religious gatha delivered by the Leading Patron of Mingala Zayon Monastery of Pyinmana Pali University and shared the merits gained. At 10:37 a.m., a siren was sounded, and the congregation observed one minute of silence to pay tribute to the fallen Martyrs. Afterward, the day meal was offered to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
