Cambodia Promotes Technical Education for Grade 9 Dropouts to Curb School Abandonment

The Cambodian government will introduce a new policy in the 2025-2026 academic year encouraging students who fail the Grade 9 completion exam, or those above Grade 9, to enroll in vocational and technical training. The aim is to reduce school dropouts and equip students with technical skills for better employment opportunities.
