SCEF and ULA/AA hold online meeting, discuss Rakhine flood relief and future political process

The Federal Democratic Union Council (SCEF) and officials from the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) held an online meeting to discuss humanitarian assistance for flood-affected people in Rakhine State and the current political situation, it was announced this evening (July 26). The online meeting between SCEF and ULA/AA was held on July 23, 2026, and discussed the flood situation in Rakhine State, relief and rehabilitation efforts for flood victims, as well as the current political landscape and future political processes, according to the statement. At the meeting, SCEF's rotating chairman, Khu Oo Reh, and ULA/AA chairman, General Tun Myat Naing, delivered opening remarks, respectively. Furthermore, the statement indicated that SCEF presented explanations regarding the objectives of the council's formation, its policies, ongoing activities, and future implementation plans. The online meeting lasted for over an hour, and the meeting concluded successfully with closing remarks from Mann Win Khine Than, a member of SCEF's Strategy and Policy Steering Committee and Union Minister, it was reported.
