In Kawthaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, Aye Min Lat, a military informant accused of raping a 12-year-old girl and falsely accusing civilians as PDFs, was shot and killed while attempting to escape after being captured alive. A responsible person from the Kawthaung Township People's Defense Force told Yangon Khit Thit Media. On July 6, Aye Min Lat, a former police officer residing in the (i-2) zone of Kamaouk Gyi town, was captured alive by the revolutionary forces. However, he was shot and killed when he attempted to escape at a certain point on the road, it was learned. It is known that the deceased, U Aye Min Lat, had falsely accused civilians as PDFs and reported them to the military, ordered their arrest and killing, and had also committed rape against a 12-year-old girl. "That guy was a former police officer, a military dog informant, and also a guide. Because he gave directions, civilians were killed. And now he has committed rape against an underage girl," said a responsible person from the Kawthaung Township People's Defense Force. The Kawthaung Township People's Defense Force announced that they will continue to accelerate their actions against the military and their associates in accordance with procedures, and therefore, they are urging the local people not to travel or reside near soldiers, military informants, and their associates, and to always maintain military vigilance.
