Pailin Provincial Council Holds 27th Ordinary Meeting of 4th Mandate, Discusses Key Issues

Pailin Province, Cambodia – On the morning of August 6, 2026, the Pailin Provincial Council convened its 27th ordinary meeting of the 4th mandate. The session was presided over by HE Chan Dinen, Chairman of the Provincial Council, and HE Dr. Bam Sreymom, Governor of Pailin Province. The meeting saw the participation of numerous provincial council members, provincial administration officials, leaders from relevant departments, and authorities from the city and districts. Key agenda items included the review and approval of the minutes from the 26th meeting, a report on the implementation of work in July 2026, and the future work direction of the provincial administration. Concurrently, discussions and approvals were held for draft decisions concerning the adjustment of the composition of the Provincial Land Management and Urbanization Committee, the Provincial State Land Management Committee, and the working group for construction review and land registration for citizens. Furthermore, the meeting reviewed and approved the amendment to Article 1 of the decision on the establishment of the Provincial Consultative Committee for Women and Children's Affairs, as well as reviewed legal applications from provincial council members. Following the discussions on the agenda items, HE Dr. Bam Sreymom urged relevant departments and city/district authorities to pay close attention to resolving citizens' issues promptly, particularly concerning the well-being and livelihoods of migrant workers recently returned from Thailand, emphasizing cooperation in facilitating employment for them. She also commended the leaders, civil servants, and the three types of armed forces for their active contributions to defending territorial integrity, maintaining public order and security, combating technological crimes, and providing public services effectively, all of which have contributed to Pailin Province's progress in line with the government's policies. Finally, HE Chan Dinen, Chairman of the Provincial Council, praised and highly valued the efforts of the Pailin Provincial Administration in addressing citizens' concerns, implementing the 'Safe Village/Commune' policy, and developing the province to a commendable level. He urged all leaders and civil servants to continue diligently serving the interests and needs of the people, with a strong focus on resolving challenges and delivering public services rapidly and effectively, in accordance with the first phase of the 7th mandate government's 'Pentagon Strategy'.
