Cambodian Police Emphasize Health Management for Officers
The Deputy Director of the Kampong Thom Provincial Police in Cambodia stressed the importance of health management for subordinate officers, instructing leaders of each department to respond promptly to officers' health issues. This was stated during a visit to an officer recovering from illness.
Brigadier General Khen Chonkor, Deputy Director of the Kampong Thom Provincial Police in charge of human resources, has urged the leaders of each office to pay close attention to the health of their subordinate forces. He made this call during a visit to police officers recuperating at home in Kampong Thom village, Kampong Roteh commune, Stueng Sen city, Kampong Thom province, on the morning of Monday, July 6, 2026. Brigadier General Khen Chonkor stated that, in accordance with the high regard and attention from General Sao Sokha, Commander-in-Chief of the National Police, and under the directive of Major General Heng Sophal, Provincial Police Commissioner, he and his working group were assigned to visit Mrs. Hul Sarann, Deputy Chief of the Training Office of the Kampong Thom Provincial Police, who is recuperating at her home. He conveyed the greetings and concerns from the leadership, especially Major General Heng Sophal, the Provincial Police Commissioner, who always cares about the well-being and health of the forces and the families of officers under his command. Whenever he receives news of an officer facing challenges, he always leads forces or dispatches representatives to intervene promptly, ensuring no one is abandoned during times of hardship. He advised the sick officers to continue taking care of their health by maintaining hygiene, eating clean food, and strictly adhering to the doctors' prescriptions for a speedy recovery. He also instructed the leaders of all specialized offices to immediately inspect and report if any officers encounter problems. Mrs. Hul Sarann expressed her profound gratitude to Major General Heng Sophal and his wife for dispatching a representative to visit her and for providing financial assistance to her family, which will help cover their daily living expenses.
