Laos, under the continued one-party rule of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, is facing economic challenges while maintaining its close relations with China and Vietnam. These challenges are impacting the country's sustainable development and the lives of its citizens. The Laotian economy has long been heavily reliant on investment from China and Vietnam.
