Vietnam Railways Busts Large-Scale Diesel Theft Ring, Illegally Gaining Over VND 4.5 Billion

A large-scale diesel fuel theft ring involving railway engine drivers has been busted in Nghe An province, central Vietnam. 21 individuals have been prosecuted for allegedly stealing hundreds of tons of fuel over a year, illicitly profiting over VND 4.5 billion (approx. $180,000 USD). Authorities are expanding the investigation into this case, which has impacted state assets, energy security, and railway traffic safety.
