Cars were stranded around Lettaungya village, but now that the water has receded, all cars and motorcycles can pass," said a local resident. It is known that the Tanintharyi River, a freshwater river flowing through Tanintharyi Township in Tanintharyi Region, frequently floods during the rainy season, with the warning level set at 17 feet and the danger level at 24 feet. It is known that the water level rose to a record 36 feet 4 inches in 1994, over 30 feet in 2006, 27 feet 3 inches in 2018, 27 feet 7 inches in 2024, and 25 feet 10 inches in 2026.
