Vietnam Hosts International Quantum Computing Hackathon Attracting Over 500 Talents from 30 Nations

Vietnam hosted the International Hackathon on Quantum Computing for Social Development (QC4SG 2026), drawing over 500 talents from 30 countries and territories worldwide. After nearly six months of global outreach, the hackathon attracted participants with diverse backgrounds, all focused on developing innovative quantum computing applications to address societal challenges. These participants expressed enthusiasm for creating quantum technology solutions that can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event signifies Vietnam's ambition to establish itself as an international hub in the quantum computing sector, promoting the adoption and advancement of cutting-edge technologies. The Vietnamese government is actively implementing policies to encourage research and development in quantum computing and attract top talent from both within and outside the country.
