Perindo Backs Ride-Hailing Regulation to Boost Digital SMEs and Driver Welfare

Indonesia's National Awakening Party (Perindo) has expressed its intention to support the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) concerning ride-hailing services (Ojol). The party views this regulation as a comprehensive framework aimed at strengthening digitally-oriented Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) and improving the welfare of ride-hailing drivers. Perindo emphasized that regulating the ride-hailing sector will foster further development of SMEs within the digital economy while simultaneously reinforcing the foundation supporting the livelihoods of numerous drivers.
