Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar hold talks on border stability and domestic peace

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Min Aung Hlaing and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar held talks in Nay Pyi Taw on the afternoon of July 22, discussing border stability, domestic peace, and enhancing strategic cooperation, it is reported. During the meeting, matters concerning the enhancement of deeper kinship and strategic cooperation between the two countries, matters concerning cooperation for the stability and regional development of the border areas of the two countries, and matters concerning the invitation of armed groups by the state government for peace talks and the ongoing domestic peace talks were discussed, it is reported. Furthermore, regarding the danger of narcotics that threatens humanity worldwide, Myanmar's efforts to suppress the illegal trade of narcotics as a national duty, cooperation with neighboring countries and regional countries in combating online scams and online gambling, and cooperation in various fields including technology and information between the two armed forces were also discussed through an exchange of views, it is reported.
