Benguet Flooded: Homes Submerged as Heavy Rains Continue

Floodwaters rose to about two feet in Barangay Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet on Saturday afternoon as heavy rains continued to affect the municipality. The flooding covered portions of residential areas, with water rising to more than 2 feet in some sections. Pico was among several areas in La Trinidad that experienced flooding. The region frequently experiences heavy rainfall during this period due to the monsoon season. Benguet, being a mountainous province, is known for its vulnerability to flash floods and landslides due to its topography.
