Vietnam Embassy in Philippines Receives National Day Greetings from Lao Embassy

On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026), a delegation from the Embassy of Laos in the Philippines, led by Ambassador Thipphasone Sengsouriya, visited the Embassy of Vietnam in the Philippines to extend congratulations. In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, Ambassador Thipphasone Sengsouriya, on behalf of the Party, State, Government, and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, conveyed best wishes to the Party, State, Government, and people of Vietnam, as well as to Ambassador Lai Thai Binh and all staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines. He wished Vietnam continued success in its national construction and development efforts. Ambassador Lai Thai Binh noted that 2026 holds special significance as Vietnam and the Philippines will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. He highly appreciated the companionship, coordination, and active support from the Lao Embassy for the Vietnamese Embassy's activities in the Philippines. Ambassadors Lai Thai Binh and Thipphasone Sengsouriya expressed their delight at the fine friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. They agreed to continue maintaining information exchange, coordination, and mutual assistance in their work in the Philippines, thereby contributing to the successful execution of important foreign affairs activities and events in the coming period. Both sides particularly emphasized close coordination in the context of the Philippines hosting numerous important ASEAN activities in 2026, notably the 49th ASEAN Summit and the 47th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-47), scheduled for November 2026. The meeting took place in a friendly, sincere, and united atmosphere, further affirming the bond, trust, and mutual support between the Vietnamese and Lao Embassies in the Philippines, contributing to the promotion of the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
