Bukidnon haze linked to local weather, not transboundary smoke from Indonesia, Pagasa says

Weather officials have clarified that the early morning haze blanketing parts of Bukidnon is caused by localized weather patterns and temperature drops, rather than transboundary smoke from Indonesia. Christian Emmanuel, a weather specialist from the Mindanao Regional Services Division of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), explained that the haze was primarily formed due to a drop in temperature and an increase in humidity, causing water vapor in the atmosphere to condense. He emphasized that this is a localized weather phenomenon and not indicative of transboundary pollution. The clarification comes amid speculation that the haze might be attributed to smoke originating from Indonesia. Pagasa assured that it will continue to monitor regional weather conditions and provide accurate information.
