Cambodian Ambassador Meets with SME Association in Korea, Explores Cosmetics Market Interest
The Cambodian Ambassador to South Korea held discussions with the Secretary-General of the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME). The meeting explored potential investments in Cambodia's cosmetics market and the establishment of local manufacturing facilities. The Ambassador highlighted Cambodia's investment advantages and invited a delegation to visit.
On the morning of August 6, 2026, His Excellency Khun Phonratana, the Ambassador of Cambodia to the Republic of Korea, held a meeting and working discussions with a delegation led by Dr. Rhee Sung woo, Secretary-General of the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME), at the Cambodian Embassy in Seoul. WASME is an international organization that promotes and supports small and medium-sized enterprises in developing skills, training capabilities, technology, business management, and various promotional activities. Over its more than 45 years of operation, the association has approximately 1,000 member companies worldwide. During the meeting, the delegation expressed interest in the cosmetics market in Cambodia and their intention to seek business partners and establish manufacturing plants in the country. His Excellency the Ambassador briefed the delegation on the potential, favorable conditions, and other benefits of investing in Cambodia, particularly in special economic zones. He also invited the delegation to visit Cambodia to further study the Cambodian market and hold direct discussions with relevant partners, with the embassy ready to cooperate and facilitate meetings with concerned institutions.
