Cambodia People's Party Marks 75th Anniversary with Community Outreach Event
The Cambodian People's Party celebrated its 75th anniversary with a community outreach event led by Lieutenant General Rath Song. Song pledged support for local development and emphasized collaboration with residents.
On July 5, 2026, Lieutenant General Rath Song, Deputy Head of the Cambodian People's Party Working Group for the Dangkao District and Head of the Working Group for Prek Kampues Commune, presided over a meeting to disseminate the message of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and President of the Cambodian People's Party. The event commemorated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Cambodian People's Party and was held at the Prek Kampues Commune Party Committee office. Attendees included Mr. Ouy Son, Deputy Head of the Working Group, Mr. Kan Sokhen, President of the Commune Party Committee, along with esteemed delegates, members of the Commune Party Committee, village party branch chiefs, sub-branch chiefs, party group leaders and deputy leaders, and commune youth members, totaling 879 participants (379 women). During the ceremony, the commune chief expressed gratitude to Lieutenant General Rath Song for his timely financial and material assistance in addressing the requests from village and commune working groups. This assistance included the provision of gravel for a 100-meter dirt road adjacent to the Prek Kampues High School fence, funding to rent machinery for excavating an 80-meter canal to drain water from the school premises, and 350 liters of diesel fuel along with the rental of an excavator to clear a 1,000-meter canal. This canal aims to improve drainage for floodwaters from the Spean Thmo and Ruluos communes, which have been inundating villagers' rice crops.
