Koh Kong Governor Urges New Administrative Chief to Uphold Duties with Loyalty and Efficiency

Koh Kong Provincial Governor Chea Vaa on July 10, 2026, during the inauguration ceremony of the new Provincial Administrative Chief, Ouch Touch, instructed the new chief to diligently perform his duties as an assistant to the provincial governor, the provincial administration, and the provincial council with excellence. Governor Chea Vaa emphasized that as an assistant, he must uphold loyalty, strengthen his capabilities and work efficiency, and expedite the provision of all types of services. Crucially, he must adhere to existing guidelines and directives from the provincial council and the provincial administration. Furthermore, the governor urged the strengthening of solidarity and internal unity among subordinates, including deputy administrative chiefs, heads of departments, chiefs of units under the provincial hall, and all civil servants and contract officials. He stressed the importance of maintaining professional ethics and dignity as public servants, particularly adhering to the principle that officials are servants of the people, not their masters. The governor also highlighted the need to assess and enhance the capabilities of subordinates, rewarding those who perform well, while strictly enforcing disciplinary measures against those who fail to perform their duties or act improperly. This approach was described using the principle of "looking in the mirror, bathing, scrubbing, treating, and operating." While congratulating the new administrative chief on his new position, Governor Chea Vaa expressed strong confidence that he will utilize his experience, capabilities, and expertise to effectively serve the Koh Kong provincial administration with tangible results. She also requested all relevant excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, and officials to cooperate well with the new administrative chief to ensure he can fulfill his responsibilities successfully and accountably.
