Cambodia-Thailand UNCLOS Conciliation Meeting to Be Broadcast Live

The National Television of Cambodia (TVK) will broadcast live the opening session of the first meeting of the Conciliation Commission under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) between Cambodia and Thailand, providing the public with direct access to the proceedings. The Ministry of Information said the live broadcast will begin at 7:30 a.m. Cambodia time on Sept. 15, 30 minutes before the opening statements by the two sides. The opening session will be open to the public and webcast live in Khmer, English and Thai, enabling Cambodian and international audiences to follow the proceedings in their preferred language. Cambodia’s opening statement will be delivered by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn in his capacity as Cambodia’s Agent. Other television stations and media outlets will also be able to rebroadcast the proceedings from TVK, according to the Ministry of Information’s notice issued on Sept. 13. The public can additionally follow the live session through official online webcasts provided in the three languages. The first meeting of the Conciliation Commission will be held in Singapore from Sept. 14 to 16, 2026, under the UNCLOS conciliation process between Cambodia and Thailand. The Ministry of Information called on national and international journalists as well as the public to take note of the live broadcast arrangements and follow the proceedings through TVK and the official webcasts.
