A group of volunteer doctors from France has conducted a free general healthcare service program for local residents in the Kampong Seila district of Preah Vihear province. The humanitarian initiative took place over two days, from July 14th to 15th, 2026, at the Ayuyong Ou Bak Tehs Health Post in Ou Bak Tehs Commune, Kampong Seila District. The event was attended by Mr. Sai Chu Sithi Joti, Deputy Director of the Preah Vihear Provincial Department of Health, along with specialized officials from the Provincial Department of Health and local administrative authorities. According to the Deputy Director, this activity was a collaborative effort between volunteer doctors from the French association, Association of Cambodian Humanitarian Missions, and the provincial government's working group in Preah Vihear, the Kampong Seila District Administration, and the Provincial Department of Health. The primary objective of this initiative is to facilitate access to healthcare and provide free diagnosis and treatment for general illnesses to residents in remote areas with limited medical infrastructure. This aims to contribute to the improvement of community health and reduce the financial burden of medical expenses for the local population.
