SAC forces attack Minthart and Nyaung-U townships with airstrikes and heavy weapons, killing 3 girls aged 7-10 and injuring 4, including 3 sisters aged 6-13

Yangon, June 29 SAC forces attacked Minthart Township in Chin State and Nyaung-U Township in Mandalay Region with airstrikes and heavy weapons, killing three girls aged 7 to 10 and injuring four people, including three sisters aged 6 to 13, according to local news sources and the Nyaung-U District People's Defence Force (Pekaf). Early this morning, around 5 a.m. on June 29, a jet fighter from the SAC's Tada-U Air Base dropped three bombs on a village near Minthart town in Minthart Township. Similarly, at 5:15 p.m. and 5:25 p.m. today, a jet fighter from the SAC's Tada-U Air Base dropped four bombs in two separate attacks on another location near Minthart town. It was reported that three girls, aged 7, 8, and 10, died as a result of these bombings, and there were also injuries. "The children died during the bombing that occurred this morning," a local news source told Yangon Khit Thit Media. Similarly, it was reported by an official from the Nyaung-U District Pekaf that four civilians, including three young children, were injured when the SAC forces fired heavy weapons from the Taungzin police station in Nyaung-U Township. Around noon on June 26, SAC troops stationed at the Taungzin police station in Nyaung-U Township fired heavy weapons towards the villages of Chaungwa, Ngalingput, and Chaungshi, injuring a total of four people: three sisters aged 6, 8, and 13, and a 41-year-old woman. "The heavy weapons that fell northwest of Chaungwa village hit the children. They were hit while coming back from school," an official from the Nyaung-U District Pekaf told Yangon Khit Thit Media. As the SAC forces are carrying out airstrikes targeting civilians, revolutionary organizations are urging the public to follow air defence guidelines and to dig strong bomb shelters and take refuge when aircraft are present.
