Cambodia's National Institute of Statistics Selects 16 Contract Staff

The National Institute of Statistics, under the Ministry of Planning, has concluded its competitive examination for contract-based employment, officially announcing 16 successful candidates. Among the successful candidates, 8 are women and 8 are men. The results were announced on the afternoon of September 19th. His Excellency Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, and Chairman of the Examination Committee, personally reviewed and signed the examination results on the afternoon of the same day. Successful candidates are required to confirm their acceptance of the employment framework to the General Department of Civil Service Management via phone or Telegram (contacts: 086 329 677, 012 990 655) within one week from the announcement date, which is September 26th, 2026, by 05:00 PM at the latest. Furthermore, candidates who wish to request a review of their examination papers can submit a written request to the General Department of Civil Service Management of the Ministry of Civil Service, located at Ang Tamieng Street, Kock Chambok Village, Chom Chao Sangkat, Por Sen Chey Khan, Phnom Penh. The Ministry of Civil Service stated that after the specified deadline, it will issue official acceptance decisions for the candidates to proceed with procedures in accordance with current legal provisions. For reserve candidates listed, the Ministry of Civil Service clarifies that the selection of reserve candidates to replace successful candidates who have resigned or for positions that were not filled will be implemented based on (1) the ranking of reserve candidates from highest to lowest score, (2) qualifications, (3) the unit of service, and (4) voluntary principles. This replacement selection can be implemented for a maximum of 12 months after the announcement of the results. Candidates selected for employment at the National Institute of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning must respect, implement, and fulfill all requirements stipulated by the Law on the Status of Civil Servants and Sub-Decree No. 78 ANK.BK dated May 21, 2025, on the selection and management of contract-based employees, and other relevant legal documents in force by the Royal Government. They must also not have been previously subjected to disciplinary action leading to dismissal or removal from the civil service or armed forces. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the cancellation of the candidate's name, regardless of whether they were successful, a reserve candidate, or already recognized for employment.
