Cambodia's Ministry of Labor Begins Census of Officials for Efficiency

The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training of Cambodia has commenced a three-day census of its officials and organizational structures in Phnom Penh, starting on July 28, 2026. The initiative aims to update data for enhanced human resource management and organizational efficiency. Under the direction of Minister Heng Sour, the census seeks to ensure accurate and unified data on public officials and the ministry's structure. This will facilitate better resource allocation and organizational planning. The census is being conducted by a joint team from the Ministry of Civil Service and the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. Operations are scheduled to take place at the ministry's headquarters and the National Social Security Fund headquarters on July 28-29, and at the National Institute of Technical Training and the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia on July 30. This effort is seen as part of the Cambodian government's broader administrative reform agenda.
