Vietnam, Lithuania Seek Stronger Cooperation Across Multiple Sectors

Welcoming President Nauseda's historic visit, General Secretary Lam affirmed that this trip is an important milestone, contributing to promoting the Vietnam - Lithuania bilateral relationship more strongly, practically and effectively in the coming time. Cambodia has always been identified as one of Viettel's key overseas markets with strong long-term growth potential. The two sides noted that the implementation of the 2022-2026 cooperation agreement between the two Organisation Commissions has yielded positive results. General Secretary and President Lam reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently gives top priority to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion with Laos, describing the relationship as an invaluable asset shared by the two nations and their revolutionary causes. Affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to its Comprehensive Partnership with Canada, Trung welcomed Canada’s strategic orientations towards the Indo-Pacific, including its support for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)'s centrality and its recognition of Vietnam’s role as a gateway for trade with the region. Giang reaffirmed that Vietnam highly evaluates Panama's role and position in Latin America and wants to further strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He said Vietnam and Panama, with their strategic geographical locations, could serve as gateways linking the economies of ASEAN and Latin America. The two sides affirmed that they attach the highest priority to their good-neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability, and welcomed the steady progress in bilateral ties. PM Hung noted that the Vietnamese Government highly evaluates the IMF’s assessments and recommendations and considers them an important source of reference in policymaking and implementation.
