Cambodian Minister of Commerce Urges Provincial Officials to Enhance Service Efficiency and Consumer Protection

On July 27, 2026, Cambodia's Minister of Commerce, Cham Nimul, met with leaders and civil servants from the Ministry of Commerce and the General Department of Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression (CCPA) in Pailin and Battambang provinces. The meeting aimed to review work progress, provide directives for future work, and encourage civil servants to perform their duties with a high sense of responsibility for the development of the commercial sector at the sub-national level. During the occasion, Minister Cham Nimul expressed her appreciation for the leadership and civil servants of the Ministry of Commerce and CCPA in Pailin provinces, commending their diligent performance with high responsibility and the numerous achievements they have accomplished. She also acknowledged their close cooperation with provincial administrations, local authorities, and relevant institutions in promoting economic and commercial development within the provinces. The Minister also highlighted the progress of structural reforms within the Ministry of Commerce and the ongoing reforms in human resource management to enhance the efficiency of management and the provision of public services to citizens and the private sector. Minister Cham Nimul urged all civil servants to continue to unite, perform their roles with professionalism, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility. This, she stated, would contribute to improving the efficiency of commercial services, developing the private sector, protecting consumers, and promoting sustainable economic growth in line with the vision and policies of the Royal Government.
