Cambodia Sets 244 Exam Centers Nationwide for High School Graduation Exams

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has announced that for the 2026 high school graduation examination, also known as "Bak Doep," scheduled for August 10, 2026, there will be 244 exam centers nationwide, comprising a total of 6,207 rooms. Of these, 68 centers with 1,533 rooms will be for science classes, and 176 centers with 4,674 rooms will be for social science classes. According to the Ministry of Education, among the 244 exam centers and 6,207 rooms, Banteay Meanchey province will have 8 centers with 266 rooms, including 3 centers with 69 rooms for science. Battambang province will have 14 centers with 388 rooms, including 4 centers with 111 rooms for science. Kampong Cham province will have 16 centers with 396 rooms, including 5 centers with 111 rooms for science. Kampong Chhnang province will have 8 centers with 206 rooms, including 1 center with 34 rooms for science. Kampong Speu province will have 13 centers with 253 rooms, including 2 centers with 40 rooms for science. Kampong Thom province will have 13 centers with 239 rooms, including 2 centers with 48 rooms for science. Kampot province will have 10 centers with 49 rooms, including 3 centers with 49 rooms for science. Kandal province will have 20 centers with 556 rooms, including 6 centers with 125 rooms for science. Koh Kong province will have 3 centers with 52 rooms, including 1 center with 38 rooms for science. Kratié province will have 5 centers with 109 rooms, including 2 centers with 33 rooms for science. Mondulkiri province will have 2 centers with 32 rooms, including 1 center with 3 rooms for science. Phnom Penh capital city will have 36 centers with 1,193 rooms, including 13 centers with 405 rooms for science. Pursat province will have 6 centers with 153 rooms, including 1 center with 32 rooms for science. Preah Sihanouk province will have 5 centers with 99 rooms, including 2 centers with 20 rooms for science. Stung Treng province will have 3 centers with 50 rooms, including 1 center with 39 rooms for science. Takeo province will have 17 centers with 391 rooms, including 4 centers with 8 rooms for science. Siem Reap province will have 16 centers with 471 rooms, including 5 centers with 131 rooms for science. Ratanakiri province will have 3 centers with 82 rooms, including 1 center with 12 rooms for science. Kep province will have 2 centers with 13 rooms, including 1 center with 2 rooms for science. Pailin province will have 2 centers with 27 rooms, including 1 center with 25 rooms for science. Oddar Meanchey province will have 3 centers with 22 rooms, including 1 center with 12 rooms for science. Tboung Khmum province will have 10 centers with 252 rooms, including 3 centers with 61 rooms for science. Preah Vihear province will have 4 centers with 80 rooms, including 1 center with 11 rooms for science. Svay Rieng province will have 8 centers with 211 rooms, including 1 center with 39 rooms for science. And Prey Veng province will have 17 centers with 402 rooms, including 3 centers with 79 rooms for science. This examination is crucial for the higher education prospects of Cambodian youth and its nationwide implementation is seen as part of the government's efforts to promote equal educational opportunities and improve educational standards.
